Managing token types

How to manage token types. User role required to access these settings: Identity Manager.

When you first activate Identity Management there are four default token types available to use immediately: Access Control, Driver’s License, ID Card, and Proof of Age. You can add more, rename, or delete as required.

Go to Tools > Identity Management and you will be on the Token ID Types page.

Adding token types

  1. Click Add New Token Type.

  2. Enter the name of the token type.
  3. Click Save.

The new token type will be available for use when adding tokens to employee or Service Provider profiles.

Renaming token types

  1. Click Edit next to a token type.

  2. Enter a new name.
  3. Click Save.
Please Note: Any existing tokens with the token type renamed will be changed.

Deleting token types

There are two ways of removing a token type:

Deactivate – this will remove:

  • The token type from the list.
  • Any tokens with this type but allows you to re-active the type in future.
Please Note: you can reactivate the type but not the tokens, they will be deleted completely.

Delete – This will permanently delete the token type and all tokens set up with the type.

For either method, click the button on the right of the type and click Remove on the confirmation warning.
