Changelog 16: New in-app Reporting Periods added

New in-app Report Periods Added
We have added 3 new in-app Report Periods to address the growing use of WhosOnLocation as an employee attendance tool. The 3 new report periods can be used against visitor and employee person types.

While custom filters and custom date ranges allow users to create and save their favourite reports, in-app Report Periods are those which a majority of our users find useful, and so are made accessible from the dropdown list of 'Report Periods' found on the left side of the reporting screen.

The 3 added today are:

  1. Past 12 months.
  2. Past 30 Days.
  3. Past 7 Days.

What do the new report periods mean?

  1. Past 12 months. means if you run this report today (let us assume it is January 2015) the resulting report will include data from January 2014 to December 2014. It will not include data from January 2015. If you wanted to run a report showing data for the most recent 12 month period including the current month then select 'Past 12 Months'.
  2. Past 30 Days. means if you run this report today (let us assume it is January 31st) the resulting report will include data from January 1st to January 30th. It will not include data from January 31st. If you wanted to run a report showing data for the most recent 30 day period including the day you are running the report then select 'Past 30 Days'.
  3. Past 7 Days. means if you run this report today (let us assume it is January 31st) the resulting report will include data from January 24th to January 30th. It will not include data from January 31st. If you wanted to run a report showing data for the most recent 7 day period including the day you are running the report then select 'Past 7 Days'.
