Install your TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDex DT4 printer

Learn how to install your TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer onto your receptionist’s PC or a Windows kiosk.

 

Before you start

Open your TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 printer box and install the printer on to the Receptionist’s PC or Kiosk following the install guide that comes with your printer.

Set up the printer

Set the TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 printer preferences to match those of the badge pass template you setup:

  1. Go to the Control Panel. You will find this by right-clicking the Start button or if the PC or kiosk has a later version of Windows installed, bring up the Charm Bar and select Settings to find the Control Panel.
  2. Select Devices and Printers, then find your TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 printer.
  3. Right-click on the TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 printer, then select Printing Preferences.
  4. Set Stock Name to 06151 or 02050 depending on the badge pass template you set up under badge passes in your WhosOnLocation account.
  5. Set the orientation to Landscape.
  6. Click Apply, then click OK.
  7. Right-click on the TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 printer, then select Printer Properties.
  8. Select the Advanced tab.
  9. Select the Start printing immediately checkbox.
  10. Select the Print spooled document first checkbox.
  11. Select the Advanced printing features checkbox.
  12. Click Apply, then click OK.

The final step in activating printing is to link the receptionist’s WhosOnLocation account or kiosk to the installed printer. Please refer to the relevant Help Center article.
