Installing your TEMPbadge BP4 / GoDex DT4 Printer

In this article, we will show you how to install your TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer onto your Receptionist’s PC or a Windows Kiosk.

There are 2 steps to setting up printing using a TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer:

  1. Install the TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer on the Receptionist’s PC or Kiosk as per the Manufacturer’s Instructions.
  2. Set the Printer Preferences to match those of the Badge Pass Template you setup.

Each step should only take you a couple of minutes.

Step 1

  1. Open your TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer box and install the Printer on to the Receptionist’s PC or Kiosk following the install guide that comes with your printer.

Step 2

  1. In Step 2 we need to set the TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer preferences to match those of the Badge Pass Template you setup.
  2. Go to the Control Panel. You will find this by right-clicking the Start button on the desktop or…
  3. If the PC or Kiosk has a later version of Windows installed you can bring up the Charm Bar on the right side of the desktop and select Settings to find the Control Panel
  4. Within the Control Panel select Devices and Printers
  5. Locate your TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer
  6. Right-click on the TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer and select Printing Preferences
  7. Set Stock Name to 06151 or 02050 depending on the Badge Pass Template you setup under Badge Passes in your WhosOnLocation account.
  8. Set Orientation to Landscape
  9. Select Apply and then OK
  10. Now right-click on the TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4 Printer again but this time select Printer Properties
  11. Select the Advanced tab
  12. Enable Start printing immediately
  13. Enable Print spooled document first
  14. Enable Advanced printing features
  15. Select Apply and then OK
  16. That completes the Install of the TEMPbadge BP4 or GoDEX DT4
  17. The final step in activating printing is to link the Receptionist’s WhosOnLocation account and/or Kiosk to the installed printer.
