Invite your learners to complete an induction course

Learn how to invite people to take your online induction course. You must have the Induction Manager user role to send induction course invites.

How it works

By inviting learners to take your induction courses directly from MRI OnLocation, we track who has been sent a course and who has passed a course in the system for you to review at any time.

Invites can be sent manually or automatically. If your induction course has been set up to invite learners automatically, any new learner that meets the course criteria will be sent an invite. For existing employees and contractors, you'll need to confirm if you'd like them to also be invited.

The automated invite email and SMS contain the name of the course, a unique link to access the course, and the name of the contact person. You can't change the contents of the email or SMS.

Before sending the invite

Preview course

Before you send the induction course invitation, preview the course to ensure it is set up correctly.

To preview your induction course:

  1. Go to Tools > Induction Management.
  2. Click Preview next to the course.
  3. Click On my computer or On another device, enter the email address or mobile/cell number you would like to send the link to, and click Send.

Check learners' contact details are correct

You are about to send a link to a learner to complete a specific course. To do this you need to have the learners' primary email address, alternative email address, or mobile phone number recorded correctly in their profile.

View the employee's or contractor member's profile to check their contact details.

Send invite

When your induction course is set up correctly and your learners' contact details are correct, it’s time to invite your learners.

  1. Go to Tools > Induction Management.
