Set up the Alcolizer integration

Enable the Alcolizer integration for your account, then turn it on for each location. You need the Account Owner or IT Support user role to access these settings.

There are three stages to enabling the Alcolizer integration:

  1. Enable the integration
  2. Activate breath testing in the location's Sign In/Out Questions
  3. Configure your kiosk question rules

Both need to be completed before the integration is fully set up and able to be used.

Step 1: Enable the Alcolizer integration

  1. Go to Tools > Account.
  2. Select Integrations from the left-hand menu.
  3. Select the Alcolizer integration.
  4. Click Enable, then click Confirm on the pop-up.
  5. In the Enabled Integrations tab, click Manage Settings next to Alcolizer.

From this menu you can enable the Alcolizer integration for each of your locations, either individually or in bulk by following the steps below.

Step 2: Set up Alcolizer for the location

You need the Administrator user role to access these settings.

Once you have enabled the Alcolizer integration in your account, you can enable it in your location and/or kiosk settings:

  1. Go to Locations, then select the location from the drop-down list.
  2. Select Sign In/Out Questions.
  3. Select the tab for the person type you want to breath test.
  4. Select the Alcolizer sub-tab.
  5. Select the Activate checkbox next to Include Breath Test.
  6. Select the Required checkbox.
  7. (Optional) Select the Host notification checkbox if you want to send the result to the person’s host. Visitors and contractors only.
  8. Edit the Alcolizer Screen Instruction field. This will be displayed on the kiosk when the person reaches the Aloclizer screen.

Repeat steps 3-9 for any other person types you want to breath test.

Anyone signing in via a kiosk with the location default questions will be presented the Alcolizer breath test.

If you have multiple kiosks set up but not all require a breath test, or if your kiosks are not using the location defaults, you will need to adjust the kiosk question rules for each one depending on your setup.

Step 3: Update kiosk question rules for Alcolizer

There are two possible kiosk setups where you would need to adjust these rules:

Both setups require adjustments to the kiosk rules:

  1. Go to Locations, then select the location from the drop-down list.
  2. Select Sign In/Out Kiosks.
  3. Click View next to your kiosk.
  4. Select the Question Rules tab.

Multiple kiosks using location defaults (disabling Alcolizer)

Alcolizer will be automatically enabled on any kiosk set up in your location that is not using a customized question rule. If you have a kiosk in your location that is not connected to Alcolizer, you will need to disable this option if:

  • You have no question rules set up in the kiosk.
  • You have a question rule set up that is using the location defaults.

If you have no rule, first click Add Rule and set the dropdowns to ‘From Off-site To Any Zone’.

From the Question Rules tab:

  1. Clear the Location Defaults checkbox.
  2. Click View next to your rule.
  3. Select the person type tab that has Alcolizer enabled in Sign In/Out Questions.
  4. Select the Alcolizer sub-tab.
  5. Clear the Activate checkbox next to Include Breath Test
  6. Click Save and Close.

Kiosks not using location defaults (enabling Alcolizer)

From the Question Rules tab:

  1. Click View next to your rule.
  2. Select the person type tab that has Alcolizer enabled in Sign In/Out Questions.
  3. Select the Alcolizer sub-tab.
  4. Select the Activate checkbox next to Include Breath Test
  5. Select the Required checkbox.
  6. Update the Alcolizer Screen Instruction as required for this kiosk.
  7. Click Save and Close.
