Your scanner options depend on the type of device you are using for your kiosk.
Scan QR codes using the built-in iPad camera, or scan barcodes and QR codes using the Socket Mobile scanner connected through Bluetooth.

Scan QR codes using the built-in tablet camera, or scan barcodes and QR codes using one of the recommended external scanner options below.
You can also use an RFID reader to read access control cards. The pcProx Plus reader can read a wide variety of frequency cards. However, you can use any RFID reader that can read the frequency of your cards.

If your kiosk is run on a computer, you also have the option of installing a front-facing web camera to scan QR codes.

For a receptionist using a computer to sign people in and out, you can scan visitor photo ID’s using the OnScan app on an iPhone or iPad. Use OnScan on any iPhone running on iOS 10 or later. We recommend using the most recent iOS.
