Stop touch screen kiosk from auto-zooming

Learn how to disable auto-zooming on your Windows touch screen kiosk.

Most touchscreen technology has a setting that causes the screen display to zoom in when a user double-taps the screen. We recommend disabling this for your touchscreen kiosk.

To disable the setting on a device running on Windows 7:

  1. Go to the Windows Control Panel on the kiosk.
  2. Select Pen and Touch.
  3. Select the Touch tab.
  4. Clear the checkbox next to Enable multi-touch gestures and inking.
  5. Click Okay.

This will stop the touch screen from zooming in and out when visitors double-tap the screen.
