Set up sign in questions for lone workers

Set up sign in questions for employees and contractors working alone. You need the Administrator user role to access these settings. 

How it works

When contractors and/or employees sign in to a location you can ask them to answer any or all of these basic questions:

  • Which area or zone they are working in
  • Expected duration onsite 
  • if they working alone
  • Who their safety operator is 
  • What is the purpose of the visit is

For each section of the questionnaire you can choose if the questions should be:

  • Activated – turn on the question 
  • Required – make answering this question mandatory
  • Answer share – include the answer to the question in the email arrival notification alert

Set up the questionnaire

  1. Go to Locations, then select the location from the drop-down list.
  2. Select Questionnaire Manager

  3. Select the Contractors tab or Employees tab.
  4. In the Visit Options tab, next to the Area/Zone Selection section, select the Activate checkbox. Choose if this question should be mandatory and the answer shared.
  5. Select the Activate checkbox next to Area/Zone Other if employees or contractors can enter the zone as free text.
  6. Click Save.

  7. Select the Health and Safety tab.
  8. In the Expected Duration On-site section, select the Activate checkbox. Choose if this question should be mandatory and the answer shared.
  9. In the Working Alone section, select the Activate checkbox. Select if this question should be mandatory and the answer shared. 
  10. In the Safety Operator section, select the Activate checkbox. Choose if this question should be mandatory and the answer shared.
    If you'd like the safety operator to receive working alone alerts, you'll need to set up a trigger.
  11. Click Save.

  12. (Contractors only) Select the Other Options tab, in the Purpose of Visit section, select the Activate checkbox. Choose if this question should be mandatory and the answer shared.
  13. Click Manage Options to add the purpose of visit options. 
  14. Click Save
