Logging into WolMobile and Security

This article details how users log into WolMobile, add accounts, and configure security settings.

If you are an employee who visits multiple locations you can add multiple locations to WolMoible. 

As a Service Provider if you have multiple clients who use WhosOnLocation and WolMobile you can add multiple organizations to WolMobile and switch between them depending on who you are working for. 

Before getting started please make sure you have: 

  • Downloaded and added the WolMobile  app from the Apple or Google Play store.
  • Received a unique link and code for your location via email or SMS from the Administrator of your WhosOnLocation account.
  • Have your unique code ready for your first log in.
Please Note: If you have downloaded the app but do not have a link, or have misplaced your code, you can request another one from the login screen by tapping Don’t have a code?

First Time Log In

Open the WolMobile app and enter your unique code either automatically via the link or manually.

Click Continue from the welcome screen, then you will be taken through a quick welcoming guide with some helpful tips on using WolMobile, scroll through these and tap Continue at the end.

Proceed through these steps to complete app set up including granting permissions and setting up security, to do this:

iPhone

  1. Enable Location permissions. This lets you use geolocation features, e.g. automatic sign in/out, SOS notifications.

    Set to Always Allow to use without having to open your app.
  2. Enable Notification permissions. This lets you receive push notifications for visitor arrivals, important notices, and signing in/out.

    You will go through the security setup.
  3. Create a PIN for basic security.

  4. Re-enter your PIN.
  5. Tap OK on the Enable Touch ID or Face ID pop-up. This adds your smartphone’s security settings to the app.

  6. Scan your fingerprint or face to set up advanced security.

Android

  1. Tap to turn on Location permission. This will be used for the app’s GeoLocation features, e.g. automatic sign in/out, SOS notifications.

  2. Tap Allow.
    Push notification permissions will be enabled by default.

    You will now go through the security setup.
  3. Click OK on the Set up PIN code pop-up.

  4. Create a PIN for basic security.

  5. Re-enter your PIN.
  6. Tap OK on the Set up Biometric Unlock pop-up. This adds your smartphone’s security settings to the app.

  7. Enter your advanced security setting, e.g. scan your fingerprint, enter your phone password, scan your retina.

  8. A pop-up will ask to access your device's photos, media, and files. Tap Allow.

    For improved location accuracy, WolMobile will ask you to turn off battery optimization.
  9. Tap Go To Settings.

    Apps not optimized will be showing by default.
  10. Tap this drop down and select All Apps.

  11. Search for WolMobile.
  12. Toggle off optimization.

  13. Tap the back icon to return to WolMobile.

You are now logged into WolMobile ready to sign in/out of locations you have access to for this account. 

You can add more accounts from the Manage Accounts section.

You can adjust the security settings from the Setup PIN section.

Add Additional Accounts

If you work for more than one organization using WolMobile for sign in/out, you may need to add additional accounts to your WolMobile app. Each organization will provide you with a unique code which is used to add the specific account.

To add an account to WolMobile automatically:

If you open the link sent to you via email and or SMS with your code on your phone, the account will be automatically added to your app. 

To add an account to WolMobile manually:

  1. Tap the profile icon in the top-left of the home page.

  2. Tap Manage account.

  4. Enter the 6-digit unique code you have been sent.

The code will be verified and the account added to your app.

Changing Accounts

If you’re working for different organizations, e.g. you are a plumber for ABC Plumbing and your company contracts to two organizations, My Company Inc and Acme Co; you will need to select the organization you are visiting before you can sign into their location(s).

The account you have currently selected will display at the top of the app. To change accounts:

  1. Tap the profile icon in the top-left of the home page.
  2. Tap Manage account.
  3. Select a different account.

  4. Tap the back button in the top-left to return to the settings.

Change Security Settings

It’s important to ensure that only you are able to access WolMobile at any time. This will prevent other people from being able to gather data about your work and/or prevent unintentional signing in/out. 

When first logging into WolMobile, you will be asked to set up security settings, you can edit these in this section:

  1. Tap the profile icon in the top-left of the home page.
  2. Tap Setup PIN.

The available options will depend on your phone.

iPhone

Touch/Face ID - Depending on your phone you will have the ability to set up fingerprint or facial recognition to unlock your smartphone. If you don’t have a face or fingerprint registered in your smartphone, this will use the phone’s password instead. If you don’t have a password on your smartphone, this option won’t be available.

PIN Code - Enable app unlock using a 4-digit PIN. If you have both PIN and Touch/Face enabled, you will be able to unlock your app using just Touch/Face with PIN acting as a backup in case the first fails.

Change PIN Code - Appears if you have the PIN Code setting enabled. Select this to change your currently enabled PIN.

Require after… - Select how soon after closing the app you want your security settings to prompt. You can add this delay so that you can close and re-open the app quickly without having to go through security settings. The default is set to be required immediately.

Android

Fingerprint log in - Enable this setting to use your fingerprints to unlock WolMobile. If you don’t have a fingerprint registered on your smartphone, this option won’t be available.

PIN Code - Enable app unlock using a 4-digit PIN. If you have both PIN and Biometric Unlock enabled, you will be able to unlock your app using just your fingerprint with PIN acting as a backup in case the first fails.

Change PIN Code - Appears if you have the PIN Code setting enabled. Select this to change your currently enabled PIN.
