Learn how to set up a trigger to deny access to a visitor who is unvaccinated and/or is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. You need the Triggers Manager user role to set up a trigger.
How it works
Triggers are used to automate actions based on sign in/out activity in MRI OnLocation. Many different triggers are available to help you manage people visiting your location, including sending notifications, displaying messages, denying access based on answers to custom questions, and more.
To set up the trigger, you need to configure the following details:
- Choose the event – select what the event the trigger applies to. In this example, visitor sign in is the event.
- Set up the rule – choose the parameters for activating the trigger. In this example, the rule is a specific answer to a custom question.
- Choose what the action is – select the action that is triggered if the event and rule are met. In this example, the visitor is denied access, and employees with the Health & Safety role are notified by email.
Before you start
- Your account must have the triggers add-on enabled.
- Set up a custom questionnaire that asks the required questions.
- If you'd like to use departments or role types to target employee notifications, update your departments or role types, then assign them to the relevant employees.
