Restrict access to your location with Brivo Personnel Control

Use Brivo Personnel Control to ensure that employees and contractors can only enter your location once they’ve completed a daily screening process. To add a trigger in MRI OnLocation, you’ll need the Administrator or Trigger Manager user role.

How it works

Brivo Personnel Control is a feature of Brivo Onair that suspends entry access until a user has gone through a screening process each day. Enable this feature in your Brivo OnAir account.

You can use custom questions in your OnLocation sign in/out kiosk to ensure that employees and guests are screened each time they go through the sign in process. If they fail the screening process, they are denied access to the location.

This kiosk screening process connects with Brivo Personnel Control. By creating triggers in OnLocation, you can manage a user’s access status in Brivo. Triggers are available for:

  • Employee sign in and out
  • Contractor sign in and out

When an employee or contractor successfully signs in to an OnLocation kiosk or on OnLocation Mobile, their user access is restored in Brivo. They can access any buildings or entry points that they have access to in Brivo. Later when they sign out, their access status reverts to suspended.

If a user is unsuccessful in signing in to a kiosk, they'll receive a denied entry message, notifications will be sent to the relevant people, and the entry point will remain locked.

To set up the integration:

  1. Configure the settings in your Brivo Onair account
  2. Set up your custom questions for your OnLocation sign in/out kiosk (if you haven’t already)
  3. Add the triggers in OnLocation
