Learn how to turn on the workspace selection question in Sign In/Out Questions. You need the Administrator user role to access these settings.
About workspace selection
If you've enabled the Desks and Spaces and/or Employee Scheduling add-ons, you'll need to activate the workspace selection question before employees can select a workspace during sign in or when booking to come on-site.
The question can be activated for the following sign in methods:
- Kiosks
- Sign In/Out Manager
- OnLocation Mobile
You can also enable it for scheduling, where employees can book a workspace while scheduling to come on-site with OnLocation Mobile.
If you have enabled the Desks and Spaces and/or Employee Scheduling add-ons for multiple locations, you'll need to activate this question in each location's Sign In/Out Questions. It can't be managed globally.
Activate the workspace selection question
You need the Administrator user role to activate the basic question:
- Go to Locations, then select the location from the drop-down list.
- Select Sign In/Out Questions.
- Select the Employees tab.
- Select the Visit Options tab.
- Select Activate next to Area/Zone Selection, then choose if it's required and if the answer should be shared in the host email notification.
- Select the advanced options icon, then choose which methods Area/Zone Selection should be activated for Sign In/Out Manager, Kiosk, OnLocation Mobile, Scheduling (only visible if the Employee Scheduling add-on is enabled). For each option, you can also set if it is required.
- Select Activate next to Workspace Selection, then choose if it's required and if the answer should be shared in the host email notification.
- Select the advanced options icon, then choose which methods Workspace Selection should be activated for Sign In/Out Manager, Kiosk, OnLocation Mobile, Scheduling. Choose if it must be answered.
- Click Save.
- Click Enable to turn on the workspace selection question for all sign in/out kiosks, or click Keep kiosk settings to retain your existing settings.
