Zones

Zones are used to track peoples' movement within your location. You can set up zones that visitors must sign in to before entering. Employees, contractors, and visitors can sign in or out of zones.

Zones can be used with sign in/out kiosks, touchless kiosks, QR code posters, OnLocation Mobile, employee scheduling, and OnSentry.

Benefits include:

  • Use an inter-zone kiosk to sign everyone in and out of high-hazard / secure areas
  • Receive alerts if someone has been signed into a zone for too long
  • Report on who was signed into zones and when

Access tokens

Employees and contractors can sign in using tokens.

A token could be a barcode, QR code, or RFID string that's unique to a person. You could use a company-issued access card, a driver's license, or a passport.

Benefits include:

  • It's quick to sign in or out
  • Can be scanned either at a kiosk or with Sign In/Out Manager
  • Almost any existing card can be used as a token

OnPass

Pre-registered visitors can sign in using an OnPass that was emailed to them in advance of their visit.

The visitor can scan the QR code at a kiosk with a connected scanner, or the Sign In/Out Manager can scan the OnPass.

An OnPass can include visit details, such as host information, directions, where to park, and more.

Brivo access control

Employees, contractors, and visitors can automatically sign in or out using Brivo access control.

Use triggers to deny access, for example, if a contractor's insurance or induction has expired.

Manual sign in or out

Employees with permission to log into OnLocation can manually sign in or out of a location. They can change their status to:

  • On-site
  • Working remotely
  • Off-site

Automation settings

In your location settings, use the automation rules to automatically:

  • Sign in employees
  • Sign out employees, contractors, or visitors

You can use triggers for extra flexibility, such as setting sign in/out rules for different departments or specific people.

These settings are useful to ensure that any remaining guests are signed out once a facility closes.

OnSentry

Employees and contractors can be signed in or out using OnSentry.

It's designed to be used by security guards, who need a portable sign-in option. It works with inter-zones and can be used offline.

OnSentry is an Android app that runs on CipherLab RS31 and RS50 series devices.

There is an additional cost to use OnSentry, based on the number of users.
